PRINCESS SHEEBA

THE WRITER , THE ARTIST AND THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Some of you may already know her as Princess Sheeba, a trade mark pen name that she uses as an erotica/scene writer. Or maybe some of you own from her a piece of art which decorates a room in your home. The artist and the writer behind a mysterious legacy to the general public, is a petite European woman in her late 30's. After her fashion designing studies Sheeba choose Canada as her final destination where she presently resides with her husband. Her stories and articles get published periodically in various international publications around the globe. She is a well traveled lady with many artistic talents that includes writing, painting, decorating homes with her stained glass lamps, upholstering old furniture etc.

After a fulfilling career as a fashion designer/buyer for fourteen years, Sheeba decided in 1993 to create and market greeting cards with the images drawn by her. In a year time, she even took her art further and her limited edition (100 each) hand painted, dimensional paintings (8"/10") in glittering colors are sold in Paris, Berlin, Milano, Brussels, Montreal, Chicago, New Jersey, New York, in some fine shops and galleries. Some of her art work is now available for sale to the greater public at the mail order section of her web site at http://www.st.rim.or.jp/~tku/PrincessSheeba/index.html

During the same year of the introduction of her greeting cards, Sheeba started taking classes in bronze sculpture, learning the techniques of the lost wax system in a private studio. Her first bronze sculpture "Princess Sheeba and Her Pet" was produced and widely praised. Within the year, Sheeba has since produced seven other various sculptures. Each of which is a limited edition of ten. Except for the actual pouring of the bronze done at a foundry, her artistic hands are involved at each and every stage of the process. None of her pieces were produced with the aid of any models. Even though she has only exhibit her work five times last year with a group of artists in North America, Sheeba has sold some sculptures simply by word of mouth to well known art collectors. Her sculptures are not simply nude women in various postures. Rather they are female like creatures imbued with mystical powers and symbolism.

Few are unaffected from her work, some feel a shiver while others are left in pensive thoughts.
A Parisian art gallery (Gallery Herouet) owner's comments were: "Her pieces defiantly contain a certain power and force that will leave you with a lasting impression."
