Wasteland Feature Review...

When reviewing this site, we found that Eros Magazine is more than an interactive journal of the erotic arts and community, it is the passion of its founder and editor, Regina Woods.  Wasteland's staff met this remarkable woman of sensual power at a recent internet conference and were immediately taken by her vision, creativity and devotion to this excellent free publication. She has seamlessly interwoven a great blend of interactive features, on-site photoshoots of interesting people in the entertainment industry, film and book reviews, "How-To Guides", surveys, readers' forums and other great features that makes this site a definite "bookmark" for anyone interested in erotica, but are sick of the porn and commercialism that has taken over the net.

Regina Woods is a professional photojournalist who has combined her creativity and uniquely kinky perspective to create Eros Magazine. When we met her, she had just returned from Calgary, Canada, where she had covered an appearance by adult film legend, Ron Jeremy (not exactly eye candy, but Ron certainly has a name in the film industry!). After spending a bit of time with Regina, we offered to do a review on her site, and, of great interest, to do an erotic photoshoot with her. Although this was a bit of a stretch for a professional journalist, we somehow tweeked her kink button and the following are a few of the photos of this "never-before-photographed-in-the-nude" editor, who in our opinion, makes a great photo subject as well.  Enjoy the photos, then scroll down for a bit of an interview with Regina.

In Her Own Words......
I started writing for Stripper Magazine in 1991 and was promoted to Associate Editor.  After 7 years of writing for Stripper Magazine I  felt that writing for men was okay but I especially desired to write for a publication that acknowledged women's interests in the erotic arena as well.  There wasn't anything that fit what I envisioned and so Eros the Erotic Entertainment Magazine was born to reflect both genders. Eros Magazine arrived online July of 98.  After meeting the friendly people from Adult Stars Magazine at the Erotica LA Expo in June of 99 I agreed to
cover the  AVN show for Adult Stars Magazine in Los Angeles the following month of July 99.

A Short Interview With Regina Woods....

How did the concept for Eros Magazine come about for you?
I had originally intended to write a nonfiction book on eroticentertainment but it seemed too far away from what was current  and being online seemed a grand way of interacting with the erotic audience in a way that hardcopy never could.

What is your vision for the publication?
To reflect the taste of both men and women in a time when perceptions are fluid in regards to the sin of nudity otherwise known as the natural state.  To discover, delight, and share what is erotic with others.  To offer a unique perspective on what both genders may find of interest in varying degrees.  Ideally to appeal to erotic readers in a mutually gender positive way.
Tell me a little about your personal slant on erotica from a women's perspective.....
Women's sexuality is no longer behind closed doors.  More than ever before women are acknowledging their needs as being equal in importance to a man's needs.  Women are no longer passive pets of the past.  Now they are emerging as creative creatures of craft. The back seat is no longer acceptable.  Bring on the male dancers!
I see you have done a photoshoot with Wasteland - can you tell me a little about this experience, being a photojournalist rather than an erotic performer?
Being invited to participate in a photoshoot with Wasteland was not only an honor but also a pleasure of incredible dimensions!  Due to the extraordinary atmosphere I savored during the shoot I feel certain that I reached a new level of my personal best in regards to photography.  This, I have no doubt, had a lot to do with the people from Wasteland.
Tell me a a little about some of the people you have covered for Eros.
The internet has a funny way of connecting us and bringing us together in ways we never before imagined.  Through websites one meets entrepeneurs of all descriptions.  Then came the discovery of trade shows, related retail outlets, and market niches.  Since the inception of Eros I have stumbled across fetish events like the Bizarre Ball in Calgary put on by Barbi (an talented lady who does sexy creations of all descriptions), belly dancers in Alberta, New York, and California, erotic episodes hosted by Dr. Susan Block (an amazing sexual therapist with a Yale Degree who promotes ethical hedonism), erotic entertainers of both the male and female persuasion, and
the friendly people at Adult Stars Magazine who introduced me to the AVN show, Hustler Hollywood,  Peter North and many many more.  They are people who feel that playing isn't just for kids.   We're grown ups, yes.  Adults.  We deserve and have the right to adult entertainment.

Regina's Rant For March, 2000....
Beware the Ides of March!

Betrayal, lies, and pain.  Beware the Ides of March!  Especially the backlash!
Therein lies the bite.  Now.  How does one go about getting revenge?

First of all, you must be prepared to lie.  If necessary to one you love.  If you have
been betrayed you must be prepared to reciprocate.  Having said that, the very best revenge is success.  No contest.

Second of all, you must be prepared for the consequences.  You must feel certain that you never again want to be friendly with this person as this may simply be the beginning of an ongoing feud.

Getting revenge is a personal issue and the critical factor is satisfaction.  One must choose an action (or visualization of an action) that will without question bring satisfaction.

For some it may be as simple as flogging or as complicated as a treasure hunt.  For instance what about tickling?  Naturally this idea is based on the premise of an individual actually being ticklish, right?  Tied up and tickled pink.  What sensations!  Or maybe some spanking?  Or are you interested in shock value?  What about making up someone’s face while they are sleeping?  Don’t worry about being neat!!

Sometimes the light version just isn’t the ticket.  Sometimes you have to go outside the normal limits.  That’s when you bring in actors and players.  Bring in the dudes in the white uniforms to take the person in question away ha ha!!  Then sit them down under a bright light and let the show begin!  Whipped Cream?  Bananas?  Make sure there are no allergies!  Then, if you wish you may lick this person off, being sure to arouse him or her to your satisfaction and then walk away and leave them there!

Ooooh Yeah. That’s it baby!  Don’t forget to watch your back after this!
